Just typing the name makes my mouth start to water!  You may be forgiven for thinking that this restaurant only sells cheesecakes but whilst this is what they are most famous for, their menu features much, much more than the “over thirty varieties” of cheesecake.

When your server delivers the menu to your table you will be astounded at its size, it looks rather like a book than a menu.  I suggest arriving before you feel ravenous, as it will take you at least twenty minutes to read everything on it by which time you could find yourself eating the menu before your meal even arrives! There are fourteen Cheesecake Factories in Florida and many more throughout the United States.  We have only been fortunate enough to visit the ones in Fort Lauderdale and at The Mall at Millenia in Orlando.  I imagine that most of you reading this review will be visiting the one in Orlando so I will concentrate on this one for my review.

The restaurant is situated on the lower floor near the main entrance.  There are plenty of parking spaces and valet service is available if you wish to take advantage.  Their hours of opening are from 11am to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 11am to 12.30pm Friday and Saturday and from 10am to 11pm on Sundays. 

The Cheesecake Factory promise to bring you the best possible food and service and I can guarantee you that this is one promise that delivers time and time again.  They only use all-natural chicken (no chemicals or antibiotics are used), all their beef is Certified Angus, USDA Kobe and all their fish is freshly caught by hook and line wherever possible. For starters I usually plump for the mini crab cakes served with mustard and tartar sauce.  The main course is a lot harder to choose.  Will it be one of the eight different types of pizza, one of their specialities, numerous pasta dishes, not to mention the fish and seafood, steaks and chops, salads, sandwiches, eggs and omelettes and not forgetting the amazing Sunday brunch which is served until 2pm!  Phew, it’s such hard work!  One of my favourites comes under the heading “specialities” and is the grilled chicken medallions, which are marinated in balsamic vinaigrette with sautéed peppers and onions. The meals are large and we often share a main course or else we would not have room for dessert.  Desserts range from ice-cream to tiramisu and of course the cheesecake!

I challenge you to eat a portion in one sitting; we have never managed this yet and always end up taking half of it back to the villa.  If you don’t want to eat at the Cheesecake Factory or are in a rush, they have a counter inside where you can buy either a whole one or just a slice to take home.
